This feature is available only with a work or school Google Calendar account.
You can set up a block of appointments on your calendar that other people can reserve. For example, professors can invite their students to reserve time during office hours each week.
Appointment slots are useful when you don’t know who needs to meet with you, but you want to make yourself available. You can offer people a block of time on your calendar that they can book time slots within. For example, you can set aside 2 hours that you’re available to meet with people in 30-minute slots. Others can then book one of the 30-minute slots within that time that works best for them.

How appointment slots relate to regular events
When you create a block of appointment slots, the block shows up as a single event on your calendar.
You can add an interactive version of your calendar to your website, and add buttons for your website visitors to save your calendar events.
Embed a calendar on your website
- On a computer, open Google Calendar. You can only get the code to embed in your website from a computer, not the Google Calendar app.
- In the top right, click Settings Settings.
- On the left side of the screen, click the name of the calendar you want to embed.
- In the “Integrate calendar” section, copy the iframe code displayed.
- Under the embed code, click Customize.
- Choose your options, then copy the HTML code displayed.
Your embedded calendar will only be visible to people you’ve shared it with. To allow all visitors to see your calendar, you’ll need to make it public.

Guide to Making Custom Buttons for Google Toolbar 5
This document describes how to make custom buttons. Custom buttons currently work only on Internet Explorer.
What is a Custom Button?
A custom button is a push button that you can add to the Google Toolbar that can have custom navigation, search, send and update capabilities. Notably, a custom search button can use most any website’s search engine, not just Google’s.
When clicked on, a search button can perform any of the following tasks:
- Navigate the browser to a website, like a bookmark
- Navigate the browser to a website and run that website’s search engine, searching for the text the user has typed into the toolbar search box. For example, a Wikipedia button would go to wikipedia.org and search for the term you’ve entered. (It can go to any one of a number of locale-specific websites based on the toolbar’s locale.)
What is HTML?
HTML is the computer language used for writing and formatting pages on the Internet and what you see when you view a web page is your browser’s interpretation of HTML.
On Google Sites you can edit your page content source by clicking Edit page and then the HTML button on the edit toolbar. However, Google Sites does not allow full HTML modification — some codes are not permitted and you have to make gadgets for them.
