“We underestimated the volume of traffic our site would be receiving at one time and unfortunately, our server could not handle it. A very limited amount of people were able to make it to check out or even to the site and we apologize for any frustration,” a Facebook post stated.
Any bottles that were not purchased before the site crash are not available in the store. The Party Source is figuring out a way to safely sell the bottles. It will not be on the same format, a manager confirmed to the Enquirer.
“The whole idea was to be socially responsible. If you can imagine all of the thousands of people who just tried to buy it on our website, we certainly don’t want that kind of volume in the store,” a Party Source manager said.
